Do you own a guitar you will never part with for any reason, be it sentimental, because you bonded with it, or the fact that it is the ONE guitar for you?
I've cycled through many acoustic guitars over the years, and have kept some longer than others. I can't say I would never part with any particular guitar. However, in recent years I've slowed down in the buying and selling. From the list below, I don't think I would sell any except there's redundancy with the two rosewood Webbers, and as nice as they are, I suspect I will sell one or both.

I thought I did, but almost all those guitars are gone now (Martin HD-28, Martin OM-28v, Taylor GC-7, and my first acoustic - a Framus Blueridge). I've had a Martin 00-18v the longest and will probably keep it, an Eastman E-15, and a Taylor GS-Mini for a longer time yet. As I think about it, I should probably sell the rest of them right now!

Can't imagine parting with the J45 Custom, can't guarantee it, but not likely. The CEO-7 is working itself into that position too....

I'd like to think the D-28 is my finest guitar & therefore keep for a long time but the one I'll never part with unless it stays within the family is my Suzuki J-200 knockoff.

My oldest sister got it 2nd hand about '74/'75. She & her husband were killed in a car crash in '78, he was a bass player & they were on the way to a gig down the coast from here (she was 22, he was 25). I used to play it a bit when I visited them as a teenager.

Dad & the other sisters handed it to me while we were in the painful process of cleaning up their possessions basically saying "looks like it's yours now Mike" (I only had a very shonky nylon string till then).

It was my only acoustic for the next 30-odd years. Pretty much relegated to camping trips a few times a year now but not going anywhere soon.

Got 2. My D-28 because it is my dream guitar and an old Ibanez D-18 copy because it was passed down to me from my aunt and has been in the family as long as I have.

Absolutely. I can't imagine ever parting with my unofficial "1933 Dave Rawlings Signature Model Epiphone Olympic" and wouldn't sell it even for a multiple of what it's worth on paper (which isn't a whole lot).

Probably all the ones I have now, cheap or not. The one in one out rule in my house has been overruled by executive order.

Well, I reckon my 1999 Taylor 514ce which was a real eye opener for me and travelled half-way round the world with me, and I still think sounds so mellow and round. Then of course my 2014 Taylor814ce. The more I play this the more I think... "How did I ever get lucky enough to have a guitar like this "[emoji120] I often pop into music stores but have yet to find anything that grabs me like these two guitars!
Since I'm never likely to see a Olson hanging on a wall, I guess I'm safe [emoji6]

I hope so. And hope some of them stay in the family for generations. I don't ever want to part with my dads 63 guild f-30 I just need to wait for him to give it to me already.

I think that about all the guitars I own currently. They are all unique and exceptional in different ways.

I have an inexpensive Yamaha F335 that was given to me by the co-founder of Operation Music Aid - an organization that gifts musical instruments (including guitars) to injured service men and women. When I was on active duty in the Army I facilitated the delivery of many guitars, banjos, and keyboards to soldiers in my care.

An Operation Music Aid sticker is visible through the soundhole and reminds me every day of the price far too many have paid.
