Cool 710 Ordered

Hello all,
With the help of members' threads and assistance and having
talked with TAYLOR and other sources I have ordered my first
Taylor. It will be a 710 with "A" grade sitka top and 900 grade
rosewood back and sides. Those are about the only custom
touches that I felt I needed. I like the 810 sound but I also like
the simple and understated elegance of the 710. Everyone I
talked with said that with the sitka top it should sound like an
810. I sure hope this is the case.
Now the waiting begins. Maybe having to wait will help build
character but it sure won't be fun. Here's hoping that the wait
will be worth it.

Hello Shane,
I see in your signature that you have a Hofner. Is this the violin
shaped bass guitar like McCartney played? I played one that I
borrowed from a friend on several gigs back in the late 60's.
It sure was sweet.

unfortunately no, because if it was it would be sold and the 714SPEC would be on its way - its a 12 string... unfortunately i havent been able to find information on the exact model, only models that are close to it. ive seen other 4990's, but this is the only one with the parallelogram inlays (www.angelfire.com/rock3/mystuff41 has pictures of it)
