Guys, thanks a lot for all of your responses and advice. I ended up going for the Yamaha FG730S this morning. After quibbling for a while, considering the Seagull S6 and so on, I decided I shouldn't spend any extra money than I was originally budgetting for - I've never owned an acoustic before, and therefore I thought paying extra for the Seagull may be futile as I don't yet know how seriously I'll take playing acoustic. I'm happy with my choice though, the FG730S looks like a great first acoustic, so I'm excited about recieving it! Thanks again for all the great advice - I'll follow this up with photo's around xmas
