Post new neck girth?

Anybody else notice that the new Taylor necks seem deeper? Compared with my 99 712 (1 3/4 width) my 2001 410 (also a 1 3/4 width) feels more substantial in the girth and volume of the neck. I have not seem anything in Wood & Steel that announces this. Or is it just my imagination? JG

Hi JG712,

I would agree; the new necks do seem to have a little more to them. I've got a '96 810 and a '00 DDSM, and the DDSM's neck is just a little fuller. It's certainly not a lot, but I can feel the difference. The other NT necks I've played have given me this impression as well. I thought it was psychological, but if others are noticing it too, I guess not. Unless this is a side-effect of TAS.

Cool

All mine are NT necks but would like to play a 80s model to feel a differance. JW
