Default Fender Paramount Mahogany acoustic

Anyone own one of these?

I played one in a local guitar store and was surprised by the sound and how light it was.

Play a Yamaha FG800 series and it blows them away. I wasn't impressed with them.

FG800 is not a solid wood guitar I'm surprised.

I was pleasantly surprised by the one I played. VERY good build quality and Fender acoustics always seemed like an after thought.

I've played a bunch of them and they were all duds. Not for me.

Default me too

I've tried several paramounts and didn't like them. But last week I played the new paramount all-mahogany dread and was blown away. Went back yesterday (Saturday) to confirm and was still impressed. By far the best sounding paramount.

Superior in tone and playability to the comparably priced Eastman sapele dreads; and equally good -- though different -- to the Martin 15's at twice+ the price.

100% plan to go back and buy it this week.

I've had the all mahogany MP3 for a couple weeks and I have to say mine was not impressive at first. But I play it a lot and I believe the wood is opening up as the tone, responsiveness and volume have subtly changed. It is now as godd or better that anything I've had before. The sound is getting to be very good.

As others have said, the fit, finish and construction is very good. But the set up and action on mine is excellent. I got rid of the stock strings and replaced them with Elixir P/B Ultra light. I'm able to do things with this guitar I have only been able to do on my Strat. Amazing action.

I am very happy with the instrument and I believe it will continue to improve as the wood ages. All the preceding is my opinion, FWIW.

GC carries them, and all the ones I tried were underwhelming for their price point.
So many other choices out there with better tone and less $
