yet more interesting, new, budget dreads...
Hi there
budget dreads are my thing and I am always on the lookout for a new new one to try. These have caught my eye recently. I wonder if anyone has tried them yet. 1.Cort Earth 300VF - solid Adi top, solid mahognay back http://www.cortguitars.net/en/produc...ew.asp?idx=145 2. Ibanex Artwood ADV9 - solid torrefied sitka top - video at the bottom of the page and all solid version available too http://www.ibanez.com/products/ag_de...129&color=CL01 Fascinating times for guitar lads and lasses aren't they? All the best Pete |

I especially liked the looks of the Ibanez. Sounded good to my tone deaf ears. Too bad nut width is 1-11/16 inch. I prefer 1-3/4 inch. for my not so nimble fingers.

Yes, it looks really lively doesn't it? I generally prefer 1.75" too but, in a dread, for flatpicking it is more the neck carve that makes a difference to me. This is a 'soft V' apparently - which is my favourite! Can't find one in Europe at present though but will keep my beady eye out.

Agreed - I was hoping they'd make one with a Wizard/Talman-style 1-5/8" neck...
