maybe a bigger seller with more choices or closer choices to play .
I think Tony is spot on.

YESSS !!!

This is EXCELLENT advice for such a huge financial decision. Acoustic Vibes has a return policy. For only one round-trip shipping cost risk, it is cheap insurance and makes sure you are not "haunted in the night" down the road by thoughts of "I wonder if I made the right choice?".

Thanks all for the replies. I do appreciate all the info and differing opinions. I am definately leaning towards the Addy/Maddy one, but I'm thinking a little road trip to The Music Emporium and Northern Lights is a good idea

Visiting these shops is always a good idea! From my perspective up here at Bourgeois, I can tell you that our torrefied guitar tops have a discernibly different sound than our non-torrefied tops. I also think it is evident that Madagascar rosewood will most definitely offer tonal advantages over EIR. I'm sure that doesn't help your decision much. If you need any specific information in your quest or if I can be of any help at all, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]. Thanks for considering our guitars.

Read or don't but now there is the opportunity to avoid ignorance. It's a long read, but I think worthy. Some won't care, so I post this in hope that some will. Oh, and here is one about Peruvian Mahogany.
Don't get me started on Ivory. BUT-----KOA is on the rebound!

Here is Kathy Wingert's thought - you may have to scroll down. I agree with her.

Me too. I'd skip the mad rosewood.

Perhaps looking at all woods used in guitar making might provide perspective.
