Talking NUGD - '99 Martin D-35

I learned that I gotta stay out of Carter Vintage Instruments from now on.

Did a little trading with those fine folks and came out with this bad boy.

A 1999 Martin D-35, sounds soooo good.
I have named this one Carter, haha!

Nothing wrong with that at all..I've been eyeing a D35 for awhile. I'd like to add one to my 67 D28 and 2012 D18. Nice looking must sounds really good.

Congrats on that D-35! That is in good shape!

I have a 1967 D-35, a little more road worn than what you have there.

Guess we know what you'll be playing over the weekend. Congrats! Mighty fine '99 you got there. I have an '89 that is pretty tough to put down...

You know, I forgot to ask. The tag just says pickup installed and really have no idea what it is; can't see it. I might get it removed at some point.

I think I've played every D18 in the greater Nasville area looking for one that said buy me; none have. Who'd have thunk a D35 would jump out at me. All I can say is add one.

Always been fond of the D-35. Passed one up in ‘76 when I was a struggling college student. Couldn’t cough up the $490….

Nice guitar…enjoy!

Can't beat a good D-35! I like the different wood colour in the middle of the back.

Well done!

The D-35 had always been my favorite Martin from the time I saw and played my first one in 1965 at the old Denver Folklore Center. It was a brand new model and I LOVED the three piece back! I was a poor college student at the time and it would be many years before I could afford to own one.

I recently added a pristine '74 D-35 to my stash at Gryphon. It's currently getting a neck reset and new stainless steel frets. Can't wait to get it back!

Oh, my goodness I'd love to have a Martin D-xx made the year I was born!

Are you sure you didn't already know that going in?

Congrats on a beautiful classic Martin. These are one of my favorites. Enjoy playing it.

Best,

Mac
