a) to effectively play new style of music b) to create an image or aspirations c) simply for a change d) replacement for effort spent actually learning to play. e) the joy of owning a beautiful instrument f) the fun of collecting. BigD |

I met a luthier in Eugene, Oregon who displayed three prewar Martins in his shop. I admiringly said, "You've got some very nice vintage Martins." His response was that we really don't own anything, we're just caretakers.
He explained that two of the previous owners were deceased and another was in a nursing home and that, when taken care of properly, the guitars were designed to outlast the human body. So, don't be too hard on yourself for wanting another guitar; you've got plenty of company on this, and on other guitar forums. Life's short, and old age doesn't last very long! |

You don't need another guitar. You may desire one, but that's a different question, with a different answer.
