Default Tweed case for Martin dreadnaught?

Tonight at the bluegrass workshop, I saw a fellow musician who had a case that I really liked -- it was a TKL vintage-looking tweed hardshell case, and she used it for her dobro. (Don't judge me, I'm a sucker for that kind stuff [emoji16]).

I didn't have a chance to find out a model number, but it looked like this one: https://www.musiciansfriend.com/acce...ng-guitar-case

I'd love to get this for my Martin dreadnaught, but everywhere I looked, this style case seems to no longer be available. Does anyone have thoughts on a similar case that is still being manufactured, or the reason why TKL stopped making them? You would think that this retro/vintage-looking stuff is really popular right now, so I'm surprised they discontinued it.

Most definitely an upgrade over the standard black vinyl which doesn’t measure up for appearance; in the electric guitar field a common concession to vintage revival. I have same tweed for telecaster case and amp. Too bad not easy to find for acoustic.

Maybe not quite the quality you need but a nice case for the $$:

Attractive red plush interior, good hardware, arched top. I bought one from them recently (on sale) and it was nice but the tweed was all scarred up and I returned it.

A different brand is available. I have one for my 00.

Tweed Case

I see now that Realbluesman posted the same case. I have no idea why his link is $30 cheaper, lol. But anyway, they are still available.

Default tweed case

I have one in a closet that a Clarence White came in years ago. I always liked them but have not used it in 20 years.

Sorry, you have to get a Huss & Dalton guitar to get a tweed case.

Cedar Creek is TKL's upscale/custom shop. And TKL, of course, makes the Martin Geib style cases so it'll be a perfect fit.

Nice case for the price. They call this one burlap but it has the same effect.

Golden Gate makes tweed cases. I have one for my Blueridge OM.

I have a tweed TKL jumbo case that looks like it is lacquered over the tweed. I don't know if that's how they come but the lacquering makes it a lot nicer than the MusiciansFriend one. I suspect it is also sturdier and heavier than the MF one...

Nice thing about Dreadnoughts, everyone makes cases for them.

Link to Alvarez's tweed case. I have one for my Baritone, it's quite nice. (ON SALE)

Finer weave than other tweed cases, more like broadcloth.
