Default Alvarez AP660ESHB Parlor

Checked into GC today and stumbled upon this Alvarez. Holy cow. First guitar under $500 that I can say blew me away. All solid wood, according to the tag, and for $399. Anyone play this before? If so, please share your thoughts! Just may add this to my short list of guitar wants.

Is it really that hard to get a tag correct?

Should be this:

Default Alvarez AP660ESHB Parkor

Thanks for catching that y'all. Actually makes me more impressed with it since I thought it was all solid.

What are the odds I can call false advertising for a discount?

Great guitars. No price qualifier needed. I had the AP860SB. It was a limited GC only version of the 66 with full inlay around the body as well as the sound hole. Stopped in at GC on a whim not looking for anything in particular. Loved it immediately. I took it home with me. It's the first and only guitar out about 50 that have passed through here that I bought new like that. I have since passed it on as a first guitar my 14 year old step-daughter. She loves it.

I was at a GC few weeks ago and they had a Yamaha FG730S ($299) tagged as a FG700S ($199). I hope someone grabbed it came saved $100.

They are really sweet guitars. I have non electric version. It is super fun to play and pleasing tone.

Tag says sys650 electronics ... I believe these come with the sys550.

As an FYI - I've seen these on sale at MF for $349 from time to time, also you just missed the GC St Patricks days 15% off ..

I'd see if they can do $350 and not look back!

Ah! Thank you!! I came across a used AP860SB last year and couldn't resist (even with cruddy strings and dust bunnies inside ). I couldn't find any info online and assumed it must be an older version of the AP66. GC exclusive makes sense.

It's a great little guitar.

Yeah. They play and sound nice. We have on in our store now and I like it. Great volume from a little guitar. It hits above its price point for sure.
