My New (to me) Avalon and my Guitar Teacher
I recently acquired a 2004 Irish made Avalon L32c off of the forum and have been enjoying learning the guitar. I took it to my lesson for the first time last night, and my guitar teacher immediately asked if he could play it. He was very impressed with the tone, bass, and the balance across the sonic range. As a listener, I was blow away by the sheer volume of the guitar and the harp like quality of the trebles. He said that he was only vaguely aware of Avalon guitars but that they would now be on his radar.
It was nice validation for a purchase that I was already very pleased with! |

They had some unfortunate experiences importing guitars to their own designs from the Far East a good while back but the Irish made ones are still lovely. Good buy!

I keep saying it...Avalons are really great guitars! I hope this doesn't mean you're gonna play that Webber any less though...right?

I do feel like I'm cheating on my Webber. It is your fault. I almost bought your Avalon, and the when Towzer posted his, I was powerless.

Congratulations and welcome to the Avalon club. I have two, including an L32C, which gets better and better as time goes on: I can only imagine how good a 2004 will sound. Wait till you start trying it in open tunings too.

For the best selection of Avalon guitars in North America, click here:
https://reverb.com/shop/thefrettedbuffalo It is very good to see these well deserving master guitar builders beginning to get the attention that they deserve here in the western hemisphere! I enjoyed your story of showing your Avalon to your guitar teacher, joelhunn. It described the reaction I've seen many times! Welcome to the family! -Bill-
