Default Replacement Tuner Knobs on Taylors

I replaced my tuner knobs on one Taylor with a set of Bill Nichols rosewood tuner knobs. I was looking into another set and can't seem to get to them on his website. He hasn't returned my email to him.

So, I was looking around.

Has anyone had any experience with this business and their replacement tuner knobs, particularly on Taylors? (His guitars are amazing!)

I have not, but Taylor knobs are Grover compatible (or at least the ones on my GS Mini are - I guess that doesn't mean they all are - maybe someone else can chip in), so you have loads of choice from loads of different places if you don't want to spend $50.

The guitars do look pretty amazing and with the money-back promise, it looks like you can't really go far wrong.

Yes, I have added a set of the Charis koa buttons to my Taylor 717. (Did not want to significantly alter a builder’s edition.) The fit and quality is perfect, in my view.

I bought these same buttons, only in Ebony, for my "revoiced" ~2014 Taylor 810. They fit nicely.

Here are the Rosewood ones:

I agree, the Charis tuner buttons are excellent.

Bill is good people. He is a Charter Boat captain, thus his username here, CaptBill. It make take a bit for him to get back but it is worth the wait.

Those look like clown vomit. I wouldn't put those on any guitar.

Except maybe a Goodall.

Another testimonial for Bill and his work - had him make me Sapele and Ebony tuner buttons and bridge pins for my 314 ... I think they came out beautifully ... great guy to work with, too.

Are you replacing tuner buttons on “Taylor” branded tuners.

Most here are familiar with Bill Wise and Charis. His guitar building is on par with any of the top 10. His buttons are on his guitars and are wonderful. Since I've never seen replacement buttons for Taylors, I can't speak to those. However, I can't see them being any less than everything else he does.
