I thought this day would never come but.. i'm a "3 guitar club"-er now..
Why do you have more than one guitar?
Let's hear some stories and let's see some pictures!

I have the four listed in my sig, below.
Though the Ovation is kinda up for sale, to raise funding for something different.

In the house, there is also an old plectrum banjo, an electric bass and electric guitar.
Along with a flute, clarinet, and sax.
The banjo belonged to my wife's grandfather who gigged with it.
The two electrics belong to one of my sons. Though I play the electric more often then he does, and I've not opened the case in 3 months, or more.

I have more than one guitar because i simply love guitars.
The 5013 was my first decent guitar. My old man helped me pay for the thing the day I graduated from nursing school. I used to play it every Sunday at church thru a Markeley soundhole pick up. I put it in retirement because the pickup was wearing the finish pretty badly around the soundhole.
But with a K & K...It could be back on stage, with a quickness.

The Ovation replaced the guitar that replaced the 5013 on stage. While it is a great guitar, I bought it on a whim. But it is quite simply one of the loudest guitars I've ever played plugged in.

The MD70 made the Ovation my back-up. I've wanted a Yairi, or an all-solid Alvarez for many years. I put one on my wish list for my 50th birthday.
This one showed up on a national instrument sellers website, and just happened to be located 5 miles away from my home....
All solid wood, 50th birthday Alvarez. FOR THE WIN!
It also has a better than good pickup system in it. Along with my 5013...they are my forever guitars.

The GS mini...I asked for one when I walked into a music store. I asked because I didn't see one, and I just wanted to look around in peace.
To my detriment, and eventual glee...the sales guy was unboxing a brand new one, and he handed it to me after he checked it over and tuned it.

I posted on here how much I liked the thing.
Within 24 hours a fellow member PM'd me with details on one he was selling, well under MSRP. It took me a little more than a month to work out the money.
But, like my MD70...it came and found me. I plan to keep it till one of us disintegrates.

8 Taylors, 2 Martins, 3 Ovations, 2 Adamas', a Yamaha, a samick, a fender, a framus..even a Zagar.
that's my list for now. there's a few others, the core of taylor/martin/adamas never gets smaller. the rest come and go. I have too much down time while at work( I work out of the country for weeks/months at a time) and an internet connection... dangerous combination.

Sorry to highjack this post

llew, can you tell me why you didn't gel with your 18A? I've been contemplating on a 000-18GE for a while.

By the way, I have 4 Martins, 1 x 0000 custom built Hon.hog/sinker redwood top

First let me say the OM-18A is an incredible guitar. I already had the 000-18GE when I purchased it. I think I prefer the 000-18GE partially due to it's shorter scale being a fingerstyle player. The OM-18A is a very strong strummer especially if you use .13's as Martin suggests. I found I wasn't playing it enough to justify keeping it? Plus I have the new CEO-7 so it was somewhat triple redundancy? The 000-18GE has a warmer tone (so subjective) to me as well.

Love to see a pic of your 0000...sounds beautiful! I have a Gruhn 0000 custom but nothing as exotic as your's!
