Default capo sleeve preference

Regardless of what specific capo you prefer, and notwithstanding its type of mechanism, be it spring, screw, or whatever, do you prefer a round piece of tubing like on a Paige or Elliott, or a flat, wider piece of rubber like on a Shubb or Planet Waves NS, and why? Again, not asking what capo you prefer, but rather the type and shape of the material that comes in contact with the strings. thanks.....tony

I can't say why, except that I like both of them, but I use both NS and Shubb capos; they just happen to be flat bottomed.

Someone please send me an Elliott to try so I can make an informed judgement, thanks!

Prefer a hard plastic with little give once on the bar. The spongy ones see, to mute the sound.
