Default Kronbauer TDK & SMB review/demo/compare - Second video and photos added!

Several people have asked me in the past and recently for opinions and sound demos on my Kronbauer guitars. I finally got around to making a video where I compare and demo them. Enjoy!

Some of the 'close ups' I attempted to show did not show up well due to the lighting. To see these features you can click on the links down in my signature line which will take you to the NGD posts for each guitar that has many photos where you can see these features better.

Note: Now that I've gone back and watched the movie a couple times I've noted some errors and so here are the corrections:

1.) I referred a few times to the tuners being Gotoh 501's - I meant Gotoh 510's, of course.
2.) I said the scale was 25.7" - it is actually 25.5" for both guitarls.
3.) I said the binding on the SMB (first guitar) was flamed maple - it is actually flamed Koa. The binding on the TDK (second guitar) is flamed maple.

I had more than a few people PM and email asking if I could demo the guitars with amplification. You asked for it, you got it! Here's another (thankfully shorter) video with me playing both guitars through my Fishman SA220 through a Fish Eye RedEye pre-amp. Cell phone video quality with the usual pops here and there but it's better than nothing, right? I tried to play the same basic chord progressions as the first video for comparison and added a few random chords for flavor. I'm also going to add some closeup photos of the details after the video so scroll all the way down and enjoy!

Thanks! I've been curious about these for a while and this helped a lot. They seem to have some of the qualities that I love in Larrivee guitars but with their own unique, polished sound.

Thanks, Bowie - that was my hope. There is a fair amount of threads here on AGF if you do a search and most of the opinions on Trevor's guitars are positive but there's not a ton of photo's, NGD's and sound/video clips. Between my two NGD's and this thread, that should give those doing searches more info.

I've updated the OP to fix some errors I made on the fly.

Some close up photos:

Flamed Koa binding on the SMB guitar body, neck and headstock, also shows the inlay wood 'stripes' on the fretboard:

Side shot of the TDK body showing those rosewood strips inset after the flamed maple binding:

Better shot of the TDK fretboard 'stripes' plus spalted maple rosette:

Shot of the SMB dual wood rosette and the detail that went into that:
