Default That Favorite Chord

We all have a "favorite" chord(s) that we love to play. What is yours? For me is either an Am or C.

"Favorite" would imply one or the other.

D major played in drop D tuning. It used to be Em.

I don't know why, but 99% of the time when I pick up my guitar that's the chord I play first.

My favourite always used to be a G chord but increasingly I find a full C chord (C/G?) deeply satisfying.

I love playing an open position C with the added bass note! I might have to change my answer.

& moving from that C/G to a Fmaj7 is always a nice progression - as in Oasis' "Half the world away".
