about my order, how many takes start to build in the factory? was placed the order?
Hello friends:
I'm a little bit worried and mad about my order. Well how you know I sent the money to my dealer Allen Music about the guitar that I want that the factory build but I havent recive any news about if the order was placed, when they will start to build and I'm worried for this and for my money! and I'm mad with the dealer that havent given me all the info that I need, Mr. Brandon have been a very nice and patience person but I hope that he understand me abou this. I would like talk with Mr. Mike Tobin from Customer Service for know if was ordered to the factory and know what happen with this, but I cant call international to a 800 line, There is any other way to contact him? I'm very very worried and I really want know whats happen. I know that Taylor its a little bit busy with NAMM. I thought that after send the money all will be relax and easy "just sit back and wait that the guitar come" but send the money just was the first step of a hard way to follow! If anybody can help me for know about this please HELP ME! Ok Bye Thanks!

I can't comment about what arrangement you entered into with your dealer, but usually it's about 45 business days quoted for time to get a custom order (which may be different from ordering a standard model.)
So about two months before delivery. When were you expecting to get yours?

Generally Taylor doesn't provide blow-by-blow information on the progress of a guitar build.

You could try calling their main number (619-258-1207--I think that's their main number) and asking for the customer service department.

As I recall it only takes about a week or so to actually build a guitar. There just isn't that much to it and most of the heavy cutting of the pieces is done in a few minutes by computer controlled cutting machines. The rest of the short time it takes to build, the guitar goes through an assembly and finishing process along with a group of other guitars. Most of the 45 days you have to wait is nothing but waiting for Taylor to finish all of the other regular guitars and special orders like yours they are working on now and and actually start building yours.
So, just sit back, stop worrying and and enjoy your other Taylors and one day in about 6 to 8 weeks from now you will get a call that your guitar has arrived at your dealer. There is nothing you can do to make the process go any faster. Both your dealer and Taylor are doing everything right.

Taylor checks out their dealers before they are allowed to sell Taylor guitars. It is not easy to qualify and only a few dealers are authorized by Taylor. You don't need to worry about your money or your guitar. It is in good hands, just sit back and relax and make sure you will be able to come up with the rest of the money in time to take home your new red 614.

Takes a while.....
Alberto, I am having a 512CE (with ES) replaced by Taylor. The Taylor factory sales rep for Canada agreed to replace my guitar due to a faulty ES system back in mid April. I asked for the replacement to come without a pickguard and was told it would take approximately 60 days....(I would think it would be faster without a pickguard!). Anyway 2 weeks ago ( about 70 days) I called, since I had heard nothing and he thought I ordered a 712...grrr!grrr! We then staightened out that I have a 512CE and that's what I ordered. It turns out he hadn't even placed the order! Supposedly it is scheduled for July 17 (today)...hopefully it is. I was told it will be the end of July before it will arrive to me in Canada. I guess you and I both will need some patience. Good Luck!
