Default An afternoon in Portland OR - what guitar shop?

I have a business trip coming up and will have a few hours to visit a guitar shop with a good selection of acoustics. I would prefer a shop that has a variety of boutiques brands (Santa Cruz, Bourgeois, Collings, others). Point me in the right direction please. Thanks in advance four your assistance.

I'll be looking forward to some responses since I'll be spending most of the next few months working just outside Portland.

Sadly, a couple of the best stores in Portland closed over the last few years. But try Portland Music, Thunder Road, Black Book, 12th Fret sometimes.

As Mycroft noted, we have had our more boutique selections winnowed down by store closures. The Portland Music store on N.E. Broadway is a Collings dealer as well as Martin and Taylor and is a nice shop. You can find the other brands but not sure anyone is a dealer?

Enjoy your visit!

What a great town with a wonderful music scene. Wish you had longer to enjoy some of the live music. Enjoy your afternoon!

The best shop closed a few years ago. I think the only place to check out quality acoustics is Portland Music on Broadway.

I spent an enjoyable afternoon at Strum (https://www.instagram.com/strumpdx/) while in Portland for work a few months back. So enjoyable, in fact, that a 1926 Martin 0-18k they had at the time came home with me. It's an appealing blend of guitar shop, performance space, and place to enjoy a drink.
