Shipping Insurance

I have used what I thought was insurance at UPS for years. You pay so much (under a dollar) per hundred dollars of insurance. Then I shipped a guitar across the country and it arrived with the corner of the box smashed. The neck of the guitar cracked. We sent in the pictures (third party company) and we’re instantly denied. The reason? I used a recycled box. I used the same box the new guitar had been shipped in. Plus I love how the person at the UPS store who is selling the coverage is looking at the box knowing that it won’t be covered. Fortunately for me, I shipped my share of guitars from there and the manager took care of everything. Even got my shipping cost back. I have Heritage/Hartford now. No worries.
