Martin makes one heck of a mahogany guitar. Happy playing!

Congratulations! I got the 000-15M over a month ago and have been utterly delighted with it. These 15s must be one of the best all-solid wood buys out there - really great sound. I also love the aesthetic; in fact, just the other night, my wife, who has zilch interest in guitars, commented on how great the guitar looked: "Like a natural beauty without any make-up," was how she described it. I definitely agree - I love the pure, earthy, organic look and feel of the wood. The smell of mine is definitely odd, though, and over on the UMGF there have been jokes about these new 15s "having a vanilla pod hidden somewhere in the case"!

Peghead,

Congratulations! What a great guitar! I just got a 00-15M a couple months ago and I love it more every day. The smell is wonderful, the tone is unique... very woody, bright and sassy. And I love the simple elegance of the satin finish. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine.
