I had a 67 Regent 6 string and the mate 12 string. I always found they were to loud and very good playing guitars. Pass them to a friend when I began owning pro model Takamine guitars. Have a. 77 F340. 82 F309. 92 FP340S. 94 EF261SAN and 2008 TF340S BG. They are all MIJ and different and great sounding guitars in excellent condition.

In my mind without a doubt the Tama guitars from the mid 70's were spectacular instruments. Yea, some were cheesy knockoff's of Martin's, but they also had a line of all solid guitars. The all solid ones were outstanding instruments. I had a TW-09 dread - solid Hog back/sides,spruce top. Super guitar. I sold it to a friend that won't turn loose of it.

Another guitar series that I feel that have some what flown under the radar would be the late 70's Washburn Prairie Song Custom and the Timber Ridge Custom these were very fine guitars.
