Dave

David, I'm a bit younger than that. ;-). I was I had! The scene not is not quite the same.

Hopefully! However, I was a bit clumsy yesterday working in the garage and put a gash in my right index finger. The bandage is making it tough to play. It might take a few days. Cold dry weather doesn't help. Ouch.

It is futile to resist. Just think... if you buy one now, you can join the neck reset club with Dave and me in 5-10 years. ;-)

It's here...

O.M.G.

I'm at the office, so no bluegrass picking right now. But, playing softly with my door closed is pretty incredible. What a sweet tone!

The pictures don't do it justice. The back and sides look a lot straighter in person. The top is pretty too. Like like a 20 year old guitar.

As for the neck... phew! I love it! Fits my hand like a glove. I like a little more neck in the upper frets and a little less down low.

The setup is spot on and the neck relief is minor. Honestly, it's like they knew I was going to buy it. :-)

So much for that 24-hour temperature acclimation period, huh?

Yup, it's a little silly. I have an advantage as an engineer. I have thermal scanners at work. The temps are in the 40s here, and it came ground from a warmer Kentucky. So it wasn't cold when it got here. My thermal scanner confirmed the guitar was already room temp.

Not really the intended use for a $5000 engineering instrument. ;-). But, it pays to be in the know.

Thanks Tom! Sounds like you're set with that D21. I've played a few and they're terrific.
