I decided to get the LS6M.

I've been trying to fund the hard bag for the concert size, and I can't find it. Do you know where it can be found?

There's an LS16M brand new for sale on Reverb. It's in Australia but Fedex flies anywhere.

I'm sending the RK back. Craftsmanship is subpar.

I know the Yamaha LS series have non-scolloped bracing. How does this affect tone in comparison to scalloped bracing? Does it kill resonance and sustain?
It's a deliberate design that's used also in the high-end L guitars. It's fine. If you prefer scalloped bracing, choose something besides Yamaha L.

Do you have a bag for the C9? If so, it will likely fit that. So I suggest you wait until you have the guitar and then you can compare it's size with your others and figure what bag to get, should you decide to keep it.

I'm going to try the Gator Transit Series for Resonator, 00, and Classical. I think it will work for my LS, C5 and Furch OM.

I have a LL16M. Well-built and great sounding guitar. I replaced the nut & saddle with bone and it sounds even better. You can't beat Yamaha for the $ value.

I was just comparing my 2023 LL16 Rosewood to my Eastman E1D and the Yammy is better. It sounds really incredible. I have it downtuned 1.5 steps and I just love everything about it. Fingerpicking or flat picking or strumming. The only thing is for flat picking it sounds better with a thicker pick like 1mm at least.

The Eastman is really great too though. It might be better for playing metal riffs (opeth ghost of perdition for example). I'll be keeping both guitars permanently.

Just can't get over how good the yamaha is. I kinda want to get the LS16M too but I think it will be lacking some of what I like in the larger size which is the incredible depth and laid back tone.

I just ordered an LS16M. I've never had a Yamaha guitar before, so all I really know is how much people rave about them. I'm a real Martin person, but the budget doesn't allow for it.

Are you familiar with the LS16M?

I own one. It’s a wonderful guitar and has a very rich sound. I did pull the under saddle transducer back through hole and taped it to a back brace until I have time to completely remove it. I dont like any interference between the saddle and bridge/top.

I have a LS16 on the way to me. I decided to get the Rosewood rather than the mahogany!

I just bought an LS16M from McCabe's Guitar Shop this morning. I had gone to the store to look at a Seagull Entourage Rustic (Concert Hall size w/ Cutaway) that I'd seen the other day, but I ended up comparing them side-by-side, and the sound of the LS16M just felt so much livelier.

It even feels much louder, or at least much punchier than my dreadnought (also a Seagull - S6 Original).

I had been looking forward to the cutaway of the Entourage, but the sound of the LS16M won out. I think the Yamaha was $100 more than the Seagull, but it also came with really nice case, while the Seagull would not have. I will need to get a strap button installed, but not a big deal.

One of the things I most enjoy about playing guitar is it removes me from the world of instant gratification. A 2 month wait for a new guitar is nothing, some people wait a year or more! As for the LS16M, if I were buying a Yamaha mahogany guitar I would buy an FS5 or FSX5. I have an LS16R and remain underwhelmed. I also own an FS5 which remains my favorite guitar.
