PS -
I find that messenger bags, backpacks, totes, attache cases, duffels, flight bags, and suitcases all work well. If you're hard-knock-prone, they're all easy to pad. |

I have a messenger bag I got some years ago from Namba Gear. It has a number of compartments, a shoulder strap, and will hold a lot of stuff.

Thanks all. Found just the solution - an Amazon Basics camera bag, the grand price of £5 from a second hand clothing site

I recently started using a duffle bag. I can get 2 folding guitar stands and my 3 ring binder with my music in it.
My music stand is to long to fit but it is a carry case so no problem there. I have plenty of room to add a mic and and needed cables. Each guitar has in it's case a tuner, pick bag, strap and capo.

That's what I use, a day pack. Doesn't get banged around as it's on your back, has a variety of compartments to keep things separated. Not big enough for mikes, but I go more to jams and song circles than gigs.

I wouldn't recommend my old boss, although he was quite a _it bag.

I gig in any Bay Ridge brooklyn mostly. I typically have to drive around for 25 minutes to find a parking spot 3-4 blocks away from whatever pub we play at.
I have to carry my guitar, mini guitar stand, mic stand, mando, and something that has my mic, floor pre amp/di, xlr cords, 1/4 inch cords, extras, capos, picks, tuner, cough drops, Advil … For that something…, best I could come up with is a knapsack. That and the guitar (gig bag) go on my back. Mic and guitar stand in one hand, mando in the other. I wish I could find an easier way. Following this thread,
