Default Cleaning satin finish

I purchased a Cort L450C all mahogany guitar. What is the. Best way to clean a guitar with a satin finish? I read that you should not use polish on satin finishes? Is this true?

Slightly damp cloth is all I use or need to use. The great thing about a satin finish is that it doesn't carry fingerprints and smudges very much.

You can clean a satin finish the same way you clean any finish. I use either a microfiber cloth with water or Dunlop spray cleaner.

I clean my wife's satin finished Taylor with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap if needed.
Once in a while, I use some guitar polish on it.
Over the past 20 years, the finish has progressed from Satin to Semi-Gloss.
I love the look and think that the polish is the reason for the change.

Soft cloth, warm water and washing up liquid, same as for a gloss guitar. Just don't polish it if you want to keep it that way; less friction is better
