NGD - Esteve 7C/B
I don't remember what I was searching for, but I stumbled upon a recording of Cavatina by Stanley Myers on YouTube. This piece had such an impact on me. Ever since then, I have been gassing for nylon.
So yesterday, I brought one home. It has a spruce top, EIR back and sides... laminated. Yes... I know... When I was trying out the guitars, I didn't know who made them or what they were made out of. I was avoiding buying a brand or getting dazzled by specs. This one stood out. It just so happened that it was one of the only laminates in the bunch. I had to put aside my prejudices and buy this amazing sounding guitar. It has a deep voice with sparkling highs and a very balanced tone. The seller also did a double take at the sound and had to double check to make sure it was indeed laminate. Here it is... Let me know if the picture isn't working for you. |

Very nice. When I get a little more free time I can see adding a classical to my stable as well. This one looks great!

Congrats on the nylon string. There's no shame in all-laminate. If YOU like the guitar, that's all that matters. At least you don't have to worry about humidity issues!

Nice, spruce tops add great clarity to nylon.
