Help! Guitar Research Bags: Who Makes Them?
I have been going nuts for an hour on Google, and I CANNOT find the name of the parent company that manufactures and sells Guitar Research gig bags. I love this bag, but mine is defective and I want to call the company directly.
Can anyone please help me? I'm at my wit's end. No, it isn't Schecter; I called and spoke to them today. Please help! Thanks! |

Here's a guess. Years ago I bought a hybrid tube amp from Sam Ash that had the Guitar Research label on it. I later found that the amp was made by a company in China by the name of Mega Amps and re-labeled by Sam Ash.
The Mega Amps company is still in business and they make gig bags (as well as amps). It's a long shot but perhaps their product is what you're looking for. Here's the link to their site: http://megaamps.com/wizmart.php?quer...=72&lv=2&mn=2#

I don't know this brand, but as alluded to above, this may be a store-brand - made just for them.
For example, Musician's Gear is a line of items made just for Musician's Friend but its made offshore somewhere and there is no real MG company - MF simply buys stuff with that company "name" on it. (I think)

That's the problem. I lost my receipt. I think it was the Canoga Park location.

Turns out you're absolutely right. It's their house brand bag at Sam Ash. Just talked to Jared, the guitar manager at Canoga Park, who informed me that these bags have a lifetime warranty, no receipt required. So I'll get over there in the next or so for an exchange. Very cool. Case closed. Thanks, everyone. |

Anyway, a VERY COOL bag, the best I've found, and he offered me free exchange right away, as soon as he heard about the defect. And again, no receipt needed: Lifetime Warranty. Just remember, Riverwolf, if you're anywhere near a Sam Ash store, they'll take care of you. Enjoy! sm |
