Apparently, dazzle camouflage was erroneously attributed to maritime artist Norman Wilkinson. Surprised he went with a solid-color tie, and not houndstooth, herringbone or paisley.

I've never seen a bow-tie like that. Was that custom during the time for extravagant/social attire?
