The Twelfth Fret in Toronto got this in, and I acted quickly.

Good shop, highly recommended.

Love it! I had this one on a temporary hold but couldn’t make it out to the shop to buy it.

Glad it found a good home!!

I was led to believe that the fit and finish might be less than a true Collings, but not so with mine at least as there is no visible glue, etc.—every bit as pristine as my Collings. WL-K has become my guitar of choice for playing out. I use a soundhole pickup if needed, which has been rare thus far. Of course with Covid, playing out has been rare thus far.

Congrats on your score of the WL-K. The Waterloos are in quite short supply and many dealers don’t expect any further shipments until into next year

I agree with your assessment, it's very cleanly constructed to my eyes.
According to the Collins shop these are back-ordered into 2023!
Thanks Jon.

You likely know, but in case the seller did not explain, this is the lightest waterloo made, so with the ultra light build, collins recommends the 11 gauge "custom light" strings to make sure no stress to the guitar. I suspect people get away with lights, but with the light build it is so responsive to the 11 gauge strings and they play so nice and sound incredible.

That guitar makes my whole left arm vibrate, it is quite something to feel the resonance.
Thanks, mcmars, yes the 11s it shipped with vibrate this guitar with no problem.

Thank you, jontewrite!
That's quite a collection you have, you're a long way from Austin TX.

Just incredible guitars. I'm embarrassed to admit I recently considered selling it to fund something else but quickly came to my senses

It's the one that didn't get away
Haha, glad it didn't get away.
There seem to be very few on the market, lots of keepers.

I bought my WL12 in november 2016.

I think it was one of the earliest ones to come into the UK.

It took a little time to warm to it, and I've never known an instrument to open up so quickly!

I think Collings have made the looks a little more subtle now.
