I can wear my Les Paul Solid body like that with Dunlop Straplocks and that thing weighs several kilos!

C'mon Joe…
Depends on how well it's duct taped to your body... What you're doing now sounds fine, and much safer. The audience can stand the short interval it takes you to put your instrument on a stand. If you are really serious about saving 10 seconds either a Gracie Walkup Guitar Stand, or some really serious strap locks would keep it in place. I'm not sure how dextrous I'd be with a guitar hanging on my back. |

I've used both the Schaller and Dunlop strap locks and I think I prefer the Dunlops. I found the Dunlops to be easier on-off and, though the Schaller "cup" feature is very secure, it's bulky.

Is a guitar strapped liked this safe?!
Grolsch washers work great...and you get beer to go with it.

Just in case anyone needs an update for this, Tapastring's StrapKeeper "one" or the first model will not fit the Taylor ES endblock strap pin. I emailed them and they have a StrapKeeper "two" which is not on the website that was made to fit the smaller ES strap pin.
Not sure how you're suppose to order it, however, I would start by sending an email, here's their Contact Us page. Hope this helps someone somewhere. ... Joe |
