Relevant Humidification Question
First:
What are the best room humidifiers on the market place for people with guitars? What humidifiers are to be avoided (and maybe why)? Last winter I lived in a small condo and bought a 'True Guardian' humidifier which did well for the small room in which I kept my guitars. But I'm in a bigger, colder, furnace forced air heated house now and need something with more oomph. Preferably with it's own built-in hygrometry for auto shut off/turn on. (This question can be asked every winter given that there are new models released all the time).

Hi Martin. I have no idea what the "best" room humidifier is but I just use a simple 4 gallon Honeywell room humidifier and it does fine. It's about $70 and you can set the humidity level. My guitar room is the size of a bedroom.

Get an evaporative not an unltrasonic. The latter will spray the house with mineral deposit dust if you have hard water.
