Default Are Elixirs made by someone else and just coated at the factory in Michigan?

I would be surprised if this were true cause in my testing around i liked the elixir nano best so far..
I would like to try the John Pearse Acoustic Nickel but I only see them in .012's.

Yes, it is true that Elixir has the strings made for them and then they do the coating. The info on this is out there, though I don't recall exactly who it was (D'addario?).
