Default The Current Yamaha FG Proviso

Talking only about current FGs since 2005...all that talk about "I replaced the saddle and got great results" ain't hype and my own overstated in the past (just needs a truss rod adjustment)...isn't the final word.

Make that saddle fit, you got yourself an even better git. Nothing new here...

My own workaround with the original plastic? Well-trimmed duct tape...plus the saddle first sanded slightly and then side and bottom shimmed...till you need pliers to get out it. It's like giving yourself a brand new guitar.

May opt for the Bob Colossi...or stay with the plastic saddle and duct tape...

Last but not least: don't forget the nut! It's worth it to slightly file things right...especially the wound strings...
