Congratulations on your Heinonen SJ. I had the pleasure of being caretaker for one and it was superb. Enjoy it in good health!

I met Drew at the 2015 Fretboard Summit. He wasn’t exhibiting and didn’t have a booth, but he told me he had a couple of his guitars in the trunk of his car. So I followed him out to the parking lot and played both guitars in succession.

Exquisite work, and he’s a nice person, to boot. I had never heard of him prior to meeting him, but I walked away a fan.

Indeed, he's proving to be a nice person in my experience.

Congratulations! What a beauty!
I have never had the chance to play a Heinonen. Ever since I bought my Charis I have been curious about them. Both builders, Bill Wise and Drew Heinonen seem to take their cues from Olson.
Enjoy your new instrument!

Thanks! I don't know much about Bill but I do know that Drew worked with Olson on a bunch of custom builds, then went on to get permission from Jim to build using certain design elements of Jim's.
