Yeah, but which is the best way to address it, er, (I mean them) without inadvertently offending?

Rather than ponder such a weighty question I prefer to consider more trivial and meaningless questions like “is the universe really infinite?” …or…”do these pants are my butt look big?”

A life lesson I have learned:

Never order a hot dog from a place that lists hot dogs in the sandwich column of the menu.

Well aren't you fancy. At least on the rare occasion in the colonies that we use cutlery, we don't two fist it with the fork upside down in the left hand with the right hand armed with a knife to push food upon the back side of the upside down fork!

Might I also ask if you eat your sausage roll or your Scottish pie with utensils? I believe both of those were designed to be eaten with your god given utensils.

Guess I'd have to agree with this one. A square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not a square. In this case, a hotdog would be a special type of sandwich.

Well frankly, I don’t really care…but… they don’t call those little carts selling hot dogs on the street sandwich stands. They are correctly known as Hot Dog Stands.

Now Silly, I know you enjoy Greek food. Do you actually use cutlery to consume a gyro?

After a thorough reading of this thread, I now believe it's not not a sandwich, but never spoken of as such for reasons which are loosely arcane.
