What are these strings?
On my new to me Collings the strings on it have a purple thread near each ball. Anyone know what these are? The seller had no idea.
One glazed donut for the first correct answer. Thanks, scott

Depending on one's definition of Purple, they could be Martin Marquis.
The Marquis have maroon/wine thread at the ball end.

No, I know my colors, and they were definitely purple. Laker purple.
