Default I fell in love again....

I fell in love again today....My first good guitar was my Martin. I got it about 1993 or 1994. Since then I've owned alot of good guitars and I've often thought about trading it but luckily I never did. Lately I've been lusting after one of the Martin GE guitars. Tonight I took my Martin to Guitar Center and AB'd it with a D-45, D18-GE, HD-28V, and a few other Martins that sold for upwards of 7 thousand dollars!!!...My guitar was just as good (or better) than all of them and I left with my guitar and my money intact. However, I did play an UNBELIEVABLE 000-18 GE that would compliment my guitar nicely.
Have any of you fell in love again? I'd like to know....

I fall in love with guitars repeatedly ... usually after I've gotten a new guitar and have been playing it most of the time. Then I pull out an older one I haven't played for awhile and get floored by it. It's been happening more this year since I'm limiting my playing time (due to injury) so I have less opportunity to play.

My Taylor 810 continues to impress me. It reminds me of my strong affection every time I play her...........

$ongwriter,

I periodically re-fall in love with my GE.

Your D-28 has some years on it, that counts a lot, I am not surprised it held its own with those other I suppose new/er Martins.

Rlouie has an 000-18GE, he loves it! I haven't played one yet, probably the only reason I don't have one, they get universal praise.

You have the rosewood, you're right a hog will complement it perfectly.

It's calling you...............

I recently played a Martin 00-18V that has made me lose sleep trying to figure out how I'm going to afford it. I get entirely too attached to some of my guitars and when I want something for which I would need to trade, I'm hesitant to let something go.

Happens to me often ... when I change strings and apply a little love to a favorite guitar, it gives back a little love and the air is filled with magic again.

However, I would settle for less magic and more quality in my own playing.

I had exactly the same situation when I played my OM-18V I own now.

So glad I found the cash!

It's funny but I know less about guitars than I do about women and I've married more women than any sane man should. I can only imagine how much GAS could cost me if I followed the same path of passion.

Default Love

The last time that happened to me I went to my local Taylor pusher to check out the new GS series, with no intention of buying. I played the rosewood/cedar model and knew I had to have it...that guitar still amazes me everytime I play it!

Happens to me all the time. Sometimes its my own guitars that I neglet and then pick up to play after just playing mostly just one or two of them for weeks on end. Sometimes its a Gibson Jumbo that the GC always seems to have just to give me GAS.
