Back then the fashion was to hang an onion from your belt, but not just any onion, it had to be a red onion or else all the girls would laugh at you. So there we were, me and Spanky, walking down the boulavard with our Sousaphones. This was before the guitar craze of course, and we all played Sousaphones. Mostly because the ladies were crazy about them. These darn kids today wouldn't know a Sousaphone from a Morel mushroom, which is a darn shame since there is nothing quite like the sound of five or six fraternity brothers belting out a mounful lament on their 'phones. Ahh, those moonlit nights among the pines. Of course the pines aren't there any more, they cut them all down to build the new Mega Mart. So as I was saying, there we were, waiting for the Kaiser's men to show up. Which of course they didn't, which just goes to show you what those people are really made of. The world just is not the place is used to be, now is it? So, as soon as the solstice was over, me and Arnie hopped a freight train to Zanzabar. It was on the way there that we happened to get thrown off P&O Perambulatin' Special in Vermont. And that's how I came to first play my Froggy Bottom "M", the finest guitar I've ever played.

Custom: Sexauer FT-15-JB

Non-custom: 1931 Martin OM-28 (looked like the devil, but sang like an angel)

Both so far out of my price range that I was upset that anyone would hand me one to play
