Default Im a new member and I've just bought my "holy grail"

Been playing for ten years, Started off learning the peter green/clapton style lead, but over the years Ive moved nearly wholeheartedly into fingerpicking, and slide country blues stuff mostly.

Well, today it was confirmed, A "The Gibson" L-1 from 1926 shall be winging its way from the States to Rainy Wales. : )

Wow! That's awesome. That's literally a piece of history! Not even sure what my "holy grail" is in terms of an acoustic guitar. Maybe something that Bream, Williams or Segovia may have played in the 60s...

Welcome. Probably the earliest "Flying L-1" models.

Good luck with the guitar and I agree that pics are in order.

An auspicious day to receive that news! St. David's Day greetings from a wannabe Welshman in the States!

I know that feel Bro! I got my holy grail after playing for 30 years. It killed GAS completely. I have bought guitars since, but they were rational decisions, not based on lust. The "Grail" changes the rules of the game. Congrats!

Nice! I've never had a chance to play an L-1 new, used or vintage and I've always wanted to.
