Default Goya GA410

Found one of these at a local shop.

Was wondering what it's true value is. Pick guard is not original. States it is a '78 vintage. From what I gather, this brand has had a varied but reputable past. Thanks.

Built in 1978 it would be Asian-made, most likely made in Japan. The earlier Swedish-made Goyas were quite often all-solid wood, but after Martin bought the brand name and started applying it to entry level Asian-made guitars, a solid top is as much as you can hope for, and that would be one of their better ones. Most were all-laminate.

Unless there's an Asian-made Goya revival I'm unaware of, it wouldn't be worth a lot of money. What are they asking for it?

They want $399, but that seems high. The top is solid according to the catalogue. I've seen a 12 string version on the net for $150. It is a nice finger-picker.
