Default NGD Yamaha A3R Finally!

I finally got it this morning. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mymarti...in/photostream and http://www.flickr.com/photos/mymarti...in/photostream and http://www.flickr.com/photos/mymarti...in/photostream It took a while buy I got it. It is really loud and I cannot believe it because it hasn't opened up yet. This thing is gonna be a cannon. There is one happy guy here. Solid spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. Woo hoo!

Very nice! I've been wondering about these since they first announced them last year. My dealer's had the 3 series on order for a while, but as of yet has only got the 1 series in. Those are impressive enough for sure. But I've already got a bunch of nice acoustics, including three [all-solid] American Breedloves. So the all-solid 3 series is definitey the only one I'd be interested in. I'm looking at the concert-sized model.

It does. Thank you. I've been playing Ovations and the sound of an all-wood guitar is really drawing me back. This guitar is going to sound awesome after it opens up. My luthier said it was really loud. I'm not used to one with THAT much acoustic volume. It's louder than my D-35 (It sounds a lot like a D-28, more balanced and not as bassy). I'll give a better review of it in a month or so.

Got mine on tuesday. Haven't been able to write here, been busy playing.
Action is so amazingly low. Neck is great and it sounds great too.

Mine isn't particularly loud, my Ll16 is way louder but it's not a problem.
Strings are 11-52, I was thinking of changing them to 12-53 when the is right.
Great guitar.

Congrats on the guitar. From what I've read online and heard on YouTube the Yamaha A3 series seems real nice. That was the series that I really wanted to try before making my latest purchase, but I didn't have a chance. I also looked through your collection, nice series of pictures there.

Thanks for the compliment of my other guitars. Sorry I didn't get back to you. I've been playing the guitar. I'm getting ready to sell some of my other guitars so I can get a AC3R. I'm going to wait at least a couple of months to see if I change my mind, but as of today. I'd sell my Custom Legend in a heartbeat for the concert A3. These guitars brought me back to Yamaha after 20+ years. They're that nice.

Hi,
I got one of the AC3M's last week (the Mahogany version) and I'm loving it. I'm sure that the sound opened out over 2-3 days!
My only worry is keeping the fancy Yamaha satin like finish on the neck from becoming glossy.
I think those are absolutely fabulous guitars for the money they ask for them, mine even came with a branded (Hiscox) case.

Regards,
Ian.

Beautiful...
I just looked at the mahogany version also and Sunburst yesterday and it listed for eight something but they were selling it for around five I almost bought it. I didn't realize they were all solid woods until I had it my hands if I wouldn't have just bought a J-45 I may have jumped on this. It would've been a nice complement to my LS6

Enjoy!
