I remember seeing him in something when I was a kid, probably 10 or 11, so around 1970 maybe, and really liking him. I think it was a western. And then anytime I’d see his name on any kind of movie poster or ad, I’d be interested in it. Saw him in so many things over the years. He was just a really dependably good actor. Always struck me as a good guy too, though I obviously have no idea if that’s true. Just one of those guys who was just always around. Lived a long life, so not tragic, but sad to see him go…
