I'm with you. The MIJ Strat I bought in '85 is a great guitar. I don't play it much now; I guess I'm keeping it for the memories of all the bar gigs I did with it.

I kept the Ovation I bought in the '70s for a few decades, and it was fine when I sold it, no better or worse than when I bought it.
