I assume that the differences would be similar between a VS and a CJ45T. Of course, I would like something in between.
I have a CJ-35, and I have that “wow” experience when I play it. It is bold (but not “cold” IMO). But it is not a Gibson sound, and it is not a rosewood sound.

Kopp’s and SCGC VS’s get a lot of praise here on AGF, and used KOPPS do show up every few months.

I’m sure you will get a VERY nice guitar, whichever you choose. Whether you get exactly the sound you want depends on the difficult to specify details.

The '34 Jumbo
-25" scale
-deeper body, continuously deep
-1 3/4" nut
-DEEP V profile neck
-Advanced X-bracing

The '42 Banner
-24.75" scale
-1 23/32" nut
-mod V profile neck
-non advanced X-bracing

To my ear the Jumbo is more powerful and deeper and has a bigger sound, and is a little crisper (less warm) that the J45. It's more like a Smeck, tonally. The J45 is smoother.

Like Brencat, I really like the '36 J35. I'd buy that one if I was buying another slope shoulder.
