Oh but if that were only true. Check out the podcast "The Blues Kitchen" currently on Spotify and likely other sources. A great mix of old and new, they play samples of some great tunes for you to discover.

While not what I would call "new" to the scene as he has been recording since the mid-1990s, the blues player I listen to the most remains Alvin Youngblood Hart. I first saw him at our Natchez Bluff Blues Festival which was kind of a homecoming for Alvis as he had lived in that town for a number of years while serving with the Coast Guard. Just jaw dropping good.

Just been reading about him. Thanks a lot for the recommendation! :-)

To answer your question (again, indirectly) check out Joe Bonamassa’s record label, Keeping the Blues Alive. He has a lot of talent signed. Ive found record companies web sites are a good source of artist info.

https://shop.jbonamassa.com/collections/ktba-records

That is a link to the store, with artist’s releases. If this is breaking forum rules, I trust a mod will remove it, with my apologies.
Never heard of Eric Gales, but will have a listen today. Cheers! :-)

Valerie Turner - she's been around a while, but gets overlooked, I think.

Check out Quinn Sullivan! Saw him at age 15 playing with Buddy Guy and the kid was fabulous…an incredible prodigy who has a feel for the blues.

I've been listing to Marcus King lately.

A young guy with an old soul.
