Default K. Yairi new 'K' series?

After quite a long interest in buying a yairi guitar (this is K. Yairi/Alvarez-Yairi btw, not the new MIC S. Yairis), as well as being on a budget, I actually found a new one for an affordable price, and they're labeled as '...K7' or '...K13'... I understand from eBay and Rakuten that the K7s are lam. b/s, but the K13s are all solid, which is really surprising considering the price you normally pay for a new, all solid Yairi guitar. Anyways, as for info, the k. Yairi site is incredibly unhelpful, as it just says that they all have at least a solid spruce top, coupled with a picture. The only page with anything to do with them is on their homepage: http://yairi.com/
Can any of you help me if you know about these guitars and/or have played them? They all have a wooden pickguards, which is pretty distinct.

K Yairi guitars are sold outside the US as I understand it. Does this guitar have an Alvarez lable? I'm not familiar w/ an Alvarez K Yairi. You could contact St. Louis Music and see if they have any information.

Here is a link to their website:

http://www.stlouismusic.com/

They have a "Contact Us button and you can e-mail them your questions.

Oh, I was only using the brand name 'Alvarez-Yairi' to ensure that Americans would get which Yairi I was talking about, although I may have unwittingly caused some confusion instead As far as I know it has nothing to do with Alvarez. These are Yairi's own brand of guitars (which would naturally hit the Japanese market first, seeing as they're made there) and are currently being sold by Japanese sellers internationally. Apart from the website, which is so difficult to navigate, I have heard no mention of them outside Japan, so I was curious

You might still try St. Louis Music and see if they can direct you to the Yairi workshop in Japan. I'm sure they have a contact there that they deal with.

I have just put an order on a K13 through Rakuten. That would make my 2nd Yairi.
I have no idea how they do a all solid $1,000 hand made guitar in Japan.
My other yairi guitar is an angel series BL120.

The price difference between BL and K13 is around $600. What's the catch? Kkk i have no idea. Specification-wise the 2 should be similar except the body wood used. The K13 I ordered comes with sapele.

Alvarez formed a partnership, (or relationship), with Kazuo Yairi back in the 1960's to have his workshop build their high end guitars and they are called Alvarez Yairi guitars designated by the A-Y logo on the headstock. These guitars were made to be sold in the American market.
This relationship continues to this day, even after Kazuo Yairi's death earlier this year.

Arguably the most UNDER-Rated line of guitars ever made.

Please share your experiences when you do get it, I would be very interested to hear about it As for me, I was considering the ovangkol or maple one.

I won't argue that one bit.
I will add that the early MIJ guitars, Yairi and non Yairi are really nice guitars

sure.... They say it will take 5~6 days before they get new stocks.
One thing i am worried is that the new K13 ones seem to now have "airy bracing" which used to be a feature reserved for lower end models, including K7s.

Well, but in a way, i kinda want to experience this new "airy bracing". Either scalloped or "airy" is fine for me.

Alvarez Yairi is now building a slope shouldered 12 fret to the body Dread that has a nut width of 1-13/16". This is 1/6" wider than a 1 3/4" nut.
It is called the DYMR70SB. It is a great looking guitar and has got good reviews

Here is a link to the spec sheet w/ a video clip.:

Here is a link to Sabatur Pro Audio in Nashville. They have one in stock for $2600.00:

Dayum that looks nice, the back looks especially sumptuous- it must be that open pore finish- I'm a satin kinda guy! :P the only thing that perhaps put me off is that (to my understanding) these guitars all have 1 11/16 nut widths, which I'm ideally looking for a 1 3/4 nut. That and they don't do a jumbo!
