- Jack Rose
- Shawn David McMillen

My favourite of the solo guitar players in the middle/modern wave is Rod Poole. Sadly no one seems to know of him; none of his music is online or in print.

Not acoustic but IMO one of the few other guitarists I listen to who makes me think of Fahey et al is Loren Mazzacane Conners.
+1 on jack rose

I've been listening to a lot of Cian Nugent lately.

Thought I'd bump this thread back up to praise the skills of Mr Blackshaw, who I saw for the first time last night. He was on a bill with Michael Chapman and as others have suggested, he really is rather good! He also gets rather wonderful sounds out of a cheap £600 all hog Guild. If anyone in the UK gets the chance to check out these two on tour, don't miss it - there are still a couple of dates left. As for Michael C himself, he is of course a six string wizard and very entertaining both on stage and in the bar afterwards.

Checked out Rod Poole on Spotify after reading the glowing recommendation ...that boy surely does write catchy tunes, with even catchier titles... try "Excerpt : Dark Light Approaching Reason" ... I will be whistling that for weeks ...
