Default Capo for 48mm - ?

Howdy
I have a new crossover guitar with 48mm nut, radiused fingerboard. I need a capo for it. I have an Elliot, but it won't fit. Just a little too small. I don't like Kyser capos. Recommendations?

My Shubbs work great on just about anything!

I have a 1 7/8 steel string (yes, radiused) and it works just fine - just the basic C1(?) I believe.

I have 4 different Shubbs - 1 for 52mm flat classical, and the other 3 for steel string (one cut/partial)

One of them is well over 30 years old and still works great - only replaced the rubber once on it.

I've never had any reason to try anything else out

ps - might want to double check the model - could be a S1.

Shubb makes a capo for 12 string (C3) that should work on unusually wide 6-strings, too.

If you prefer the Elliot-style, the G7 Heritage comes in a wide and is very similar.

Me too, but I have the version with the roller

You do not need the “12 string” version, as it is close to 2”…

C1 Works fine on my 1 7/8” nut 12 strings.

Shubb, Shubb, Shubb!

I have two 12 strings, the Martin has a 1 & 7/8"nut width (47.6 m/m) and the Harmony has a 2" nut (50.4 m/m).
Each has a standard 12 string Capo both of which work well. C3 or variant.

edit: I have a 0028 with a 1 & 7/82 nut width and a standard C1 or C1b capo works fine.

Pretty sure Elliott (two t's) makes custom widths but their lead time is probably huge nowdays.

Kat Eyz capos are a similar "yoke" style to Elliott and he makes a wide version that will probably work for you. Minimal lead time (week or two) and about half the price of Elliott. In my experience, just a tiny bit less of a jewelry-like finish on the Kat Eyzs but well made and works perfectly on all my acoustic and electric guitars. He will make it to any radius you need.

P.S. If I were going for a cheaper "squeeze from one side" type capo I'd see if the Planet Waves NS is available in a width and radius that will work.

I have a couple of Shubbs that I use regularly. They fit on my classicals and steels.

I'll second that, I have one I keep with my Cole Clark 12 string which has a 51mm (2") nut. Functions exactly the same as my other Shubb Deluxe, just a bit wider reach.
