Default John Mayer, Neon, Where the Light is Live Album

Does anyone know where to find the tabs or sheet music for this song? The recorded version is available, obviously, but I can't find the live version anywhere. Thanks.

Would this work? It has vids of the live performance for comparison.

This guy has serious chops....

EDIT:

Yeah, I guess they are different. The bass riff I thought I heard was actually him playing haha.

I've seen one person play this song. There is no way in 3 lifetimes of playing guitar every day that I could play it AND sing it at the same time like John does... it is much harder to do than it sounds on the CD.

Well, it's a good thing I don't sing then.

For anyone who doesn't know already, that is one seriously fun concert DVD, especially the middle section with his blues trio. I had no idea he had the chops he does. Seriously fun to watch and hear. I highly recommend it.

I have just started listening to his stuff. I really don't like the guy, or his singing, but his guitar work is another matter entirely. Very impressive. There just aren't a lot of people doing jazz and blues influenced rock right now. He is, and it's mostly really good stuff.

Really? They are pretty standard

I concur...."Where The Light Is" is worth the cost for the Trio performance alone....the other two sets are gravy!

I have that DVD and can watch it over and over again. He (aside from his personal miscues) and his band are amazing. Steve Jordan (drummer) is unreal and as mentioned, he plays amazingly while he sings....

The Wait Until Tomorrow Hendrix cover and Belief are sweet.

Lots of up close videos of his playing. Lots of good ideas in there.

The guy is gifted. He is finally getting respect in the guitar forums for his playing skill. He needs to get a handle on his personal life (or do a better job of keeping his miscues out of the press).

Default TAB of the Intro to John Mayer's Neon from Where the Light is

Yeah, I have a Tab of that I painstakingly transcribed after hearing it for the first time a few weeks ago. I slowed it down to pitch, eyeballed the waveforms, verified the live video on the DVD for hand positions and fingering and created it in Guitar Tab Pro to make sure the musical math was right.

I found that everyone on the Internet was missing a lot of things my ears were telling me were there.

Here's a link to the PDF

Send me feedback.

I'm working on the complete song including the hammer-ons in the middle.
